Autumn, for me, is a season of stillness and energy all at once. My mind fills with ideas, and I find myself drawn to portraits that reflect that contrast—soft golden light illuminating quiet moments of thought, or movement and laughter against the crisp air.

Change is in the air. Can you feel it? Boy, I do. It’s like someone hit the “play” button this year after a little too long on “pause”. I can’t put my finger on exactly what’s changed, I don’t really want to – and I’m not alone.
I was able to spend some time with my Mum over the Xmas/New Year’s break gardening. God it was fun, I learned a lot and it was good to just listen. We worked hard, and I would catch glimpses of her in the afternoon sunlight. She is at her most beautiful, most alive when she’s in a garden.
